I just found a quote in my journal that I wrote down in April of 2011. I didn’t write down who wrote it though, but I think I just fell in love with it again.
“Memory is a funny thing. It makes you remember things that didn’t really happen and forget things that did. I’m so afraid I’ll forget because if I forget all these things that happened, then there will be no one on earth who will remember them. And if they’re forgotten, then it’s like they never really happened. No one can prove it. Some writer said somewhere that people become our memories of them. So I guess if no one remembers you, then it’s like you were never even there.”
